Book-Hunting
I absolutely love going to the bookstore. I could spend hours just browsing and them a small fortune buying. A friend of mine, has recomended another good second-hand bookshop, cheap and also high quality in SENEN (one of traditional market in Jakarta). He told me this a month ago when he showed me an old edition of French Literature. I’m interested in it. I decided to go there yesterday. Actually, I drove my motorcycle but in fact, I did not know how to get there by motorcycle. Well it sounds silly lol. I parked my own motorcycle on the parking place of shoping centre in Blok M. I went to a nearby bus terminal named TransJakarta coridor. I have to pass through the channel tunnel. It connects those shoping centre and bus terminal. When I was in the tunnel I used the time to buy window-dressing for my father, it made of bamboo. In these tunnel you can find some antique furnitures and many clothes. It more cheaper.
I arrived at the bus terminal 15 minutes later. I bought the ticket then. The trip takes about 30minutes. I hadn’t been in this book market for some years, it was nice to be there again. I cant recall how long it’s been. As far as I remember, the bookseller selling their wares around the bus terminal, you can find them when you just get off the bus. I asked someone where the bookseller is, it is located at SENEN building 4th floor opposite the Mall Atrium. You can find various books here with the cheapest price and high quality, most of the book-hunter are student college. I was hunting for various books, among them a Short French English Conversation and Science book. I did however pick up a 2008 reprint of a third edition of Harry Potter, not in terribly good condition but better than nothing. I also bought two dictionaries (English-Indonesian and Indonesian-English) by John M. Echols and Hassan Shadily. You just need Rp.70.000 ($7) to buy those dictionaries. Well it more cheaper than you buy in shoping centre bookshop, even though that looks original but is falsified lol i don’t give a damn it’s better than nothing. I just completed high school, I’m going to university this September. Yeah I’ll buy some book for my first lecture and sure I have no doubt from going back to there.
